Dear colleagues,

We contact you in order to remind that the fifth edition of the Basauri-Bizkaia International Animated Film Festival will take place from the 20th to 27th March, 2009. Like in previous editions, there will be some competitive sections and non-competitive too. These are the competitive ones:

35mm Feature Film Official Section

Every feature film produced after the 1st of January, 2007, will be able to take part in this section. It will be indispensable a 35mm copy for the contest (in some cases, the Organization could consider accepting BETACAMs).

The prize for the winner in the Feature Film Section will be of 8,000€. There will also be a Jury Special Prize too.

35mm Short Film Official Section

As in the feature section, all the shorts in contest must be produced after the 1st of January, 2007. Once again, the short films in this section must be submitted in 35mm (even though a DVD is sent for the selection).

The prize for the winner in the Short Film Section will be of 1,000€.

Karratu Section

This is a competitive section where every short film produced after the 1st of January, 2007, can participate. In this case, it will be screened in DVD format.

The prize for the winner in the Short Film in DVD Section will be of 600€.
