Fujian Opto-electronic Co.,Ltd (formerly Fujian Optical Disc Co., Ltd.) was founded in July of 1998 with a registered capital 50 million RMB. Under the official approval of the concerned administration of the People’s Republic of China, we are authorized to engage in the mastering and replication of various optical discs. The main business scope of what we do currently is to produce optical disc in variety, such as CD-Audio, CD-Video, CD-ROM and DVD5/10/9 and so on.

Our company is located within the Special Economic Zone of Xiamen, a coastal city in southeast China which is famous for her ideal investment environment, fine scenery, as well as the pleasant weather. Many well-known transnational corporations such as Kodak and Dell company were attracted by its ideal location to set up their headquarters in this beautiful city.

2.ADVANCED PRODUCTION FACILITIES

The total capital investment of our company is 300 million RMB up to date. All our mastering, replicating and printing machines were imported from world leading optical media equipment manufacturers with the most advanced processes. Currently the year production capacity of our company is 80,000,000 discs of DVDs and CDs. As the business for CD-ROM expands in the local market, we are planning to install 4 more CD replicating lines in the next stage. Such a move will increase our current production yield to 100 million DVD/CD discs in the coming year.

Our staff is considered our most precious resources in the company. At present, the majority of our employees are highly educated and well-trained. All of our management staff were graduates of well-known Chinese universities and they have been working in the company for at least ten years. Among them are some master graduates and doctors who have rich experience in the optical media business, including manufacturing facilities, processing technology, materials, protection of intellectual property rights and so on.

We are one of the earliest authorized DVD replicators in China. We abide by the Agreement on Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights—TRIPS, Agreement on International Copyrights as well as Agreement on Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and so on.

In fact, we began applying for entry to the DVD Forum soon after the founding of our company and came to be a principal member of it. Up to date, we have certificates of various DVD products and have made an agreement on

the protection of copyrights against piracy. We have been doing everything we can to prevent the illegal use of copyright.

To protect the interest and legal rights of our foreign partners, we are willing to go through formalities in applying for registration of copyrights in China on their behalf.
