Business Scope:  

Muriel Ortmans has created Clap d'Ort Films company in July 2001. It is a documentary film production company and its division Clap FilmSales a film distribution company.

She studied Law at university and she worked from March 1987 till March 1998 in advertising agencies.

It is in November 1998 (till Augustus 2001) that she rejoins a Film producer : Belgavox Production.

She is there in charge for TV production (reading scenarios, financing films, executive production, distribution)

During that time, the company produced under her responsability :

- Musical series (10x26') artist's protraits and a 52 min film shooted in Abidjan during the "festival des arts et spectacles" (MASA '99).

- Documentary series based on archives, flash back, outstanding events of the year for the DVD market.

- Editings based on archives.

- Commercials and institutional films (seat, Siemens, Interbrew, Sony, Belgium National Bank).

- film 26' on an Afro musical concert in Paris.

- A short programs series based on archives on the Olympic Games.

- An historical series based on archives, 4 x 52 min : "Vietnam generation", "From Congo to Zaire", "Germany re-discoverd" and "Europe, the road to unity".

- A 52' film "Resonance, Mali" on the development of the country.

In July 2001, she created the company Clap d'Ort Films and follows a vocational training. She has an European certificate of documentary film production – Eurodoc Production 2001-2002.

Clap d'Ort Films' head office is located in Hainaut in Belgium.
