The Henan Electronic Audio Publishing House was prepared to found and operate in August, 1993. It was founded formally in July, 1996. It owns many multimedia publishing rights such as electronic, audio, newspaper and network, and mainly publishes cultural, sci-tech, educational electronic audio-visual readings.

The publishing house has the 100 staff. Among those 15 ones have advanced professional technical titles, and 55 ones have intermediate professional technical titles. All of them have strong capacity of planning, research and development, edit and production. The press contains ten deparments such as audio editorial department, electronic editorial department, electronic books editorial department, network editorial department, department of technical production, department of issued publicity, department of television advertising, department of general management, department of finance and department of mid-primary school computer newspaper. The press owns national first-calss videotaping, editing and production equipment and network dissemination system.

Since foundation, it has published over one thousand kinds of electronic audio readings, more than 100 kinds of national “ninth five-year” and “ tenth five-year” planning key electronic audio topics, among which one won international award, 13 ones got national awards, and 41 ones obtained provincial awards. The CDs of Chinese Pianist, Music Ceremony, Sea Moon, Tuba Rhyme and Devote Oneself to One’s Career, the VCDs of Bingren's Way of Recognization, Chinese Folk Martial Arts Classic Routines, Rural Practical Sci-tech Enriching, Shen Fengmei, Chang Xiangyu, Yue Rhyme Quality Library and Qu Opera Quality Library, and the CD-ROMs of Natural Storm, Longmen Grottoes, Mao Zedong’s Poetry and Painting Works Collection, Henan Overview and Relaxing Classroom cause large influencies in national electronic audio-video field, and are welcomed and appreciated by a vast number of consumers.

After several years’ development, the Mid-primary School Computer Newspaper, created in Jan. 1999, has become the No. 1 medium to popularize the mid-primary school information technology (IT) education in China, the recommended reading of Mid-primary Information Technology Education Professional Committee of China Education Society, the olympics contract unit of national youth informatics in 2005, and the cooperating medium of national mid-primary school computer production activity. The volume of circulation reaches more than 400,000.
